Krispy Krunchy Chicken

Before I say anything else, let me commend Krispy Krunchy Chicken on the speed of this delivery. I ordered on GrubHub at about 2:45 and got a knock on my door with fresh food at about 3:05. Amazing. This experience was such a fantastic surprise. First, when I saw there were honey butter biscuits on the menu, I was pretty much sold. Any place that will deliver fresh, hot honey butter biscuits to my home is a friend o' mine! They were delicious! But the chicken was even more amazing! Crispy skin with delicious flavor, juicy meat that also has delicious flavor. Honestly, I was blown away. Especially when I found out this place is inside of a gas station! I'm from the South and I'm serious about my fried chicken. Obviously I haven't tried ALL of the chicken places in the city, but seriously, this is the best chicken I've had here in Chicago so far, hands down.

I had wanted Popeyes but it was just so far, so I was looking for an alternative when I came across this place. One of the reviews had said essentially that same thing (they wanted Popeyes but it was too far) and that this place fit the bill, so I ordered. It was sooo delicious! The chicken was super crispy on the outside and so juicy and tender on the inside. The biscuit was amazing, though I was too full to eat it by the time I got to it. I also tried the fried corn on the cob because, well, need I really explain? It was awesome, though truth be told, it was more fried than I needed. Still super tasty though. I would definitely order from here again, and am having a hard time refraining from ordering again right now... Oh, and to top it all off, it's one of the least expensive meals I've ordered online!

Very excellent junk food. Sometimes you don't want fancy, complicated, overstated wings but you don't want crappy frozen stuff you could've bought at Costco yourself. Most importantly, you want that delivered because it's late and you've already had yourself a night. I'm sure some elite yelper will find some reason to complain about something irrelevant to the actual food or project their expectations about truffled sweet potato tater tots with locally sourced panko-crusted chicken, but sometimes you just want well-fried crispy and crunchy wings (see what I did?) without pretentious nonsense. It would be very awesome if they had a buffalo sauce though they're very generous about packets of hot and barbecue sauce. The traditional sauce is a tangy sweet/source sort of sauce.

IF I were to complain about anything, it would be the delivery time, but it did come when they said it would, so I can't complain about that. I ordered the 8 piece chicken with Cheese Fries. When it arrived nearly an hour later, but on time, it was VERY hot, but nothing was brunt. Just nice and warm and seemed fresh. We I tore into it the chicken was heavenly. Crispy on the outside, and nice and tender and juice on the inside. The fries were very good as well. Not overly cheesy but nicely cooked. It was all perfect. Best delivery chicken I have had in a few years. I WILL order from them again, without a doubt.

Awesome first experience. My roommate orders from here on occasion and it smells so good, I had to try it. After I placed my order, the restaurant called me right away because they were out of one item I'd ordered. I missed the call, but when I called back, I was told that I'd actually gotten the last one! My lucky day. The driver texted me, providing an ETA. That is just phenomenal service. And the food was in fact as fantastic as it smelled.

Food was great! The kidney beans loved it.
